Why “Renegade Pencil”? 

Renegade – Since a lot of my art practice was about doing things the way I wanted to do them, and following themes that weren’t down the main path. 

Pencil – Even though most of my finished artwork is ink using the word “Pencil” fit better. I work as a graphics designer, illustrator, and writer, and in all of these fields when I start on a new project it begins with a pencil. 

For me art is about telling a story. In my early teens I became fascinated with science fiction, fantasy, and horror themes in art. I loved putting a high level of detail into my drawings As my art style developed I began using single illustrations to tell a short narrative.
